A seminar by Professor Andrea Collevecchio from Monash University
Title: Reinforced Random Walks
Abstract: Reinforced random walks are stochastic processes whose future behavior depends on their past trajectory. Unlike classical random walks, where transition probabilities are fixed, reinforced walks evolve in an environment that is modified by the walker itself. Sites or edges that have been visited more often become more attractive in the future. We discuss what has been proved, what are the open problems, what are the connections with other fields
