Biography

Bronwen Whiting is an Associate Professor in Statistics in the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics. Her research applies statistical techniques to diverse areas including linguistics, mental health, insurance, and oil prices. She has also published in areas relating to her passion – teaching statistics at all levels. Bronwen’s work has been published in academic journals including Journal of Forecasting, Linguistic Typology and Language.

Additionally she is working in the portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) in the space of postgraduate education across the university.
