Biography
Dr. Xin Liu is an Associate Professor in Finance. Her research interests are centered on the implications of financial innovation and developments on capital markets and the economy, banking and information economics, and the Chinese economy. Dr Liu's work has been published in internationally top finance journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science, and Journal of Financial Intermediation.
Dr. Xin Liu earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the National University of Singapore. She also obtained master’s degrees in Physics and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Prior to her current appointment at the Australian National University, she worked as an investment professional at Temasek Holdings in Singapore and also visited the Chazen Institute of International Business at Columbia University.
