Biography
Xuan Liang is a Lecturer of Statistics. Xuan’s research interests are in spatial modelling, panel data, nonparametric and semiparametric modelling, network data modelling, environmental statistics. In particular, Xuan has examined nonparametric and semiparametric modelling in spatial panel data with applications for economic, financial and network data. Xuan’s environmental statistics research utilises rigorous statistical methods to quantify China's air pollution, and proposes a novel statistical technique to evaluate the air quality in a fair way by controlling for meteorological confounders. Xuan’s work has appeared in leading journals including Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Economic Modelling, and Transfusion.
