Deferred and Supplementary Exams for Semester 1, 2026
If a student’s application to defer a final exam for Semester 1, 2026 is approved via an Extenuating Circumstances Application, the outcome, sent to both the student and course convenor will identify when the exam is to be scheduled. The Semester 1, 2026 deferred examination period will run for one week from Monday July 20 to Friday 24 July 2026 (i.e. the O-Week for Semester 2 2026).
If a PX (supplementary assessment) grade is received as a Semester 1, 2026 result, the supplementary exam will also be scheduled during the Semester 2, 2026 O-Week (i.e. Monday July 20 to Friday 24 July 2026).
Arrangements
Exams will be timetabled through the Examination, Graduations and Prizes Office, date and time TBA. You have an obligation to attend exam at the specified dates and times. Personal circumstances, holidays or work plans are not an acceptable justification for an alternative date and time. You are reminded that all regular examination rules will apply.
If you have been approved to take a deferred or supplementary examination, you will receive an email to your university email address from the Examination, Graduations and Prizes Office with details of the exam. If you do not receive an email with exam details such as date, time and duration at least two weeks before the scheduled period mentioned above, you should contact the Examination, Graduations and Prizes Office on examinations.officer@anu.edu.au.
