Biography
Anna von Reibnitz is a Senior Lecturer in Finance, the Convenor of ANU Finance Masters programs and a Research Affiliate with the Global Institute for Women's Leadership (ANU). Anna’s research interests include funds management, asset pricing and workplace gender equality, with a particular focus on the risks and rewards of active investing. Her research has been published in a number of top-ranked finance journals including Critical Finance Review, Financial Analysts Journal and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal. She actively collaborates with industry, including research for the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has been interviewed on TV and radio outlets such as SBS World News and ABC Radio, and her research has been covered in the Australian Financial Review, Bloomberg and the Canberra Times, among others. Anna’s focus on industry engagement and application underpins her research-led teaching practices, including the development of the award winning ANU Student Managed Fund, and has resulted in National accolades such as the Australian Awards for University Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence.

Teaching
Anna has taught Undergraduate, Masters and PhD courses in financial markets and systems, investment management, portfolio construction, and corporate finance. She supervises students at Honours, Masters and PhD levels.
Anna has received multiple awards as an educator, including at the National level with an Australian Awards for University Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence in the Law, Economics, Business and Related Studies category. She has also received the College of Business and Economics Award for Teaching Excellence, an Australian National University Commendation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, and the College of Business and Economics Award for Excellence in Tutoring.
As a teaching team, Anna and Geoff Warren have been awarded an ANU Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and a College of Business and Economics Commendation for Teaching Excellence for establishing and convening the ANU Student Managed Fund.
A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Anna is an active proponent of effective and innovative education and regularly serves as an assessor for teaching awards at National and University levels.
